Presentation: “Risks of Hard and Soft Power in Georgia” (analytical research) On January 25, 2016, at the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel “European Initiative – Liberal Academy Tbilisi” manages the project “Risks of Russian Hard and Soft Power in Georgia”.

The aim of the project is to study the political-economic or other levers in the hands of Russia, which can influence the current political processes in Georgia.
Assess and measure the current situation, as well as the threats and risks that may arise in the near future.

The project consists of three main parts:
• Russia’s “soft power”: influencing the media, political organizations and civil society;
• Economic relations between Georgia and Russia;
• Russia’s Hard Power: Occupied Territories and Security.

The research presents the most important and strategic directions, which are in the sphere of Russia’s privileged interests, and to the protection and strengthening of which Georgia should pay special attention.

The paper includes both threat and risk analysis as well as recommendations for overcoming them. The project is supported by The German Marshal Fund of The United States
