The study discusses the ongoing processes of the visa dialogue between Georgia and the European Union, outlines key trends and, along with progress, describes the specific challenges identified during the study, the visa facilitation agreement and the implementation of the European Visa Code.

Based on international experience, the prospects and expected results of Georgia’s visa-free travel to the EU and the Schengen area are analyzed. The study includes both an analysis of the challenges and risks, as well as recommendations for overcoming them. The study was funded by the European Fund under a grant from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
