On July 31, 2014, the presentation of the final report of the project “Impact of Immigration on Land Development and Rural Development in Georgia” was presented.

Legal and economic issues of alienation of agricultural lands to foreign investors were discussed at the presentation. Assessments were also made as to the motives, barriers, and reasons for conflicts with non-residents about the purchase of agricultural land by local communities.
